Pack 8,
Tuesday, December 14 at 6:30 PM we will meet at Sunrise Assisted Living on Boy Scout Rd to sing Christmas carols
with the residents. After we complete the caroling, we will return to St.
Mary’s School Cafeteria for our Christmas party. Allison Crow is coordinating
our Christmas caroling and party and has asked the Dens to bring the following
for our party in the SMS Cafeteria:
Webelos –
drinks
Bears –
Sweets
Wolves –
Salty Snacks
Tigers –
plates / cups / napkins / ice
Wear you
uniform and a Santa hat.
Parking
is going to be very limited at Sunrise. After you drop off your passengers and
snacks at Sunrise, the cars will need to be parked across the street at the A.
Brian Merry School. We will collect the snacks at Sunrise and take them back to
SMS Cafeteria and setup for the party while the Pack is caroling.
Saturday
1/15/05 is Scout Night at the Augusta Lynx
game. The Lynx will play the Carolina Stingrays at 7:35. The
tickets are $6.00 each for the upper level seats. If you would like to attend
you can signup and pay at the Christmas Party.
Our winter camping trip on 1/29/04 will
be at the Vogtle Recreation area. The area has electric and water at the
camping sites and has a heated restroom and shower house. Remember this is
winter camping and you will need warm sleeping bags and lots of layers of
clothing. More on winter camping will be discussed at the January Pack meeting.
The roof
on the Scout House has been
replaced. This was due to the efforts and donations of several people. Kevin
Bowles took the roof replacement as his project and got Mike Grady at Mulherin
Lumber with Georgia Pacific to donate shingles. Tommy Lovelace of Lovelace
Roofing agreed to install the roof with only a very low installation cost and St
Mary's on the Hill Church is paying the installation cost. Many thanks to all
involved.
